Bo can't hear my child
The first time your child taps the microphone, the device asks to allow it. If it was declined, Bo shows the steps to turn it back on. You can also do it yourself:
iPhone and iPad app: open Settings, scroll down to Build with Bo, and turn on Microphone and Speech Recognition.
Android app: open Settings, then Apps, then Build with Bo, then Permissions, then Microphone, and choose Allow.
In a browser: use Safari on iPhone and iPad, or Chrome on Android, and allow the microphone for the site.
No microphone? The keyboard button next to Bo's words lets a grown-up type what your child says.
Bo's voice is too quiet or missing
Check the volume and that the device isn't on silent. Bo uses the device's own voices; for a nicer voice, download an "Enhanced" or "Premium" voice in your device's speech settings, then pick it in Build with Bo's Settings.
More than one child
Tap the child's picture at the top to add a child or switch. Each child has their own houses, photos, stars and progress.
Daily play time and progress
Open Settings (a grown-up check comes first) to set a daily play time and to see the Progress page for each child.
Deleting everything
Settings → Forget everything removes all names, houses, photos, stars and progress from the device. Deleting the app does the same. We hold no copy, because nothing is ever sent to us. Privacy policy.
